Meeting Baby Ansley & the Charleston Aquarium

We went home this weekend so we could meet Baby Ansley, some dear friends of ours precious week-old baby girl. I loved meeting Ansley, staring at her, holding her; she's perfect.

Tillman preparing to meet a baby on the car ride home.

It was raining hard. She thought it was too loud.
That babydoll, by the way, was mine when I was a kid, equipped with a real diaper and a newborn onesie. I was serious about my baby accessories. "Baby Jessica"

Friday night - meeting Baby Ansley. She's such a good sleeper! And a cute one, too!
She's always got to have a little hand up close to her face.

Saturday back with Ana & Ansley. Jade is around there somewhere. :)
I asked Josh to get a picture of Tillman giving Ansley a kiss. This is what he got.

Isn't she gorgeous!!!
I love her pinky poking into her cheek.

Proud Mama - Ana

I was always willing to hold her!

I LOVE these girls!!!

Too spoiled for her own good. Sharing a Krispy Kreme doughnut with Grandma.

Me: "Tillman, show me your mouth."

Sporting her newly monogrammed outfit from The Carousel Boutique.

Ready to head to the aquarium!

Splashing themselves on the water wall.

She was too funny when she saw the huge fish tank for the first time.
She was squealing with excitement. Grandpa was excited too.

She really loved it. Can you tell?

Headed to the top to let the fun begin.

Bald eagle

Close wingspan.

Alabaster, the albino alligator - so cool & creepy at the same time.
sponsored by MWV (Grandpa's company)

We all got a little spooked when Alabaster started moving around & a fake storm came.

The most I've ever seen an alligator in an aquarium/zoo move around.

I think Josh & I were more excited than Tillman was when we saw this huge turtle. The word "turtle" is by far both of our favorite words in her vocabulary right now. It's so cute when she says it b/c she pronounces it/enunciates it so clearly. It's like she puts an extra empahsis on both the T's in the word. "Tur-tle."

Turtle!

She's not supposed to be putting her hand into the water here, but look who's in charge...

Greatest Grandparents!

Now here, she's actually supposed to be reaching in and touching the animals.

Touching  a horseshoe crab with Grandma.
This exhibit was fun for everybody. The lady behind the counter even made a funny remark about how "Daddy" was touching all the animals and moving them around.
Josh = kid at heart.

Grandpa was very proud of his company sponsoring the lemur exhibit.
(Go MWV!)

T loved this! She crawled through a short tunnel and popped up here. She was smiling, clapping, stomping, and turning in circles. Then, when she got out, she said, "Hide." and tried to go back in for more. Too cute. This was part of the lemur exhibit, but they were napping at the time.

Having fun driving around the safari in Madagascar.

We found a slide - surprise, surprise.
And this is how we used it.

The view when you leave the aquarium.
Gosh, I love Charleston!

I love my family!

This is how we started the trip back home.

And this is how we ended it.
T with her new Mama "tur-tle" and Baby "tur-tle".
These were really cute, and of course Josh and I wanted her to get a turtle so we could hear her say our favorite word more often. Tonight, when we got ready for her bath, T asked for her "tur-tle." Needless to say, her new turtles are in bed with her now.

And even more needless to say, I'm very excited to go back home this summer for more of Baby Ansley & the aquarium!! (Mom and Dad are official members now...Tee hee.)
