We're a Honda Family Now.

Well, ... it's quite a long story, but I will spare you some details. Josh's car (Chevy Trailblazer) basically died on us this past Thursday on his way to work. Thankfully T's babysitter loves us enough to let Josh take her car to work so he could get his towed from her house over to the shop. Well, it would have cost us more than the car was worth to get it fixed, and we had already been talking about looking into a new car in the spring, so we had some decisions to make. Basically, our spring purchase got bumped up a few months to Friday.

Josh picked me up from work Friday afternoon, we went straight to the Honda dealership, spent 3 1/2 hours there, bought a car, went to dinner, and got home from our morning around 8:45. It was a long day. We purchased a new Honda Odyssey minivan, yes, a van. We're those people now, but we love it and are excited about taking on a road trip sometime soon!

Here are some pictures from the weekend, some of the car and others are just random.
Our new purchase.

Honda family.
CR-V & Odyssey

They are very much two peas in a pod. They are watching a video Josh just took of T shaking her hair around. I love her expression.

Posing.

She is sooo silly when she is with him. I love watching them together. And, no, I'm not jealous. :)

So sweet! They always have so much fun together.

Oh, look at that crazy toy....

Wowza.

Silly goose.

So peaceful.

Super excited about bath time with the paints Tiger & Danica gave her.

I'm Still Full.

Today Josh and I hosted our first Sunday School social event at our house. We did a tailgate style get together. Everybody brought such delicious food, and plenty of it too. We had almost all of our families from Sunday School attend and just a few kids joined us. It was a really fun day/evening and we all ate so much it still hurts. I was too busy enjoying myself to take many pictures, so enjoy what few I do have.

It's soooo hard to get a good picture of her lately.  She isn't quite willing to cooperate.

Getting excited for the Tigers to play and her friends to come over.

"Go Tigers!"
(Thank you, Amanda for the super cute outfit!)

Most of the food. Oh yes, there was more. It was all sooo good!

Most of the guys watching the game.  Notice Benji is in Tillman's little white rocking chair. That was pretty amusing. The guys hung out downstairs while the girls and few kids hung out and played upstairs. It actually worked out really well. Here Tillman and Hadley came to interrupt things. And yes, Tillman is wearing a smock for some odd reason.

The final score of the game was 45-31. GO TIGERS!!!

Sky Top Orchard

Yesterday T and I headed to Sky Top Orchard in Flat Rock, NC to go apple picking with some friends from church.  T and I carpooled there with our friends Kasi and Hadley.  None of us had been to Sky Top before, so it was a learning experience to say the least. We had a good time, but learned a lot about how to come better prepared for the next visit. We also had some cranky moments and melt downs throughout the day. I can't blame the girls though. It was hot, we didn't bring a wagon or stroller, and we were just plain overwhelmed with the crowd. On the plus side, we did leave with some delicious apple doughnuts and cider to refuel from the day.

Here's our visit to Sky Top:

Hadley & Tillman getting ready to go explore Sky Top.

Tillman at the sign.

Showing the camera that hay is for the horses.

Part of the playground.

Watching Hadley come down the slide.

Hadley!

Another section of the play area.

Carrying the bucket to go pick some apples.

It's getting heavier every apple we add.

Most of the gang.

Another shot.

Tillman being silly.

I love this one. She was trying to hold as many apples as possible at one time.

The girls picking.

Most of their apple came from the ground. They couldn't reach the ones on the tree.

Hadley and Kasi "picking" an apple.

Carrying T through the hooooot orchard.

Feeding the sheep.

And the goats. We had a meltdown when it was time to leave the animals.

Cooling down with some fresh apple cider.

Whew. What a day.
