A Child After My Own Heart

She may look like her daddy, but she's got some of her mama in her too. A child after my own heart.

Finger Painting Fun

So I saw a finger painting idea on pinterest that I decided to try with Tillman today.  It started a little something like this...
The paint is in a ziploc bag and taped to the counter.  Easy, clean fun. Right?

Trying to figure out the set up and get her little hands into that bag.

Finally, we begin swirling and mixing the colors.

Insert random pictures from later in the evening...Moving the pillows from the couch to...

...do this.  She needed the extra bump up to get onto the couch.

Okay, back to the finger painting, that started in a nice, clean ziploc bag.  Remember that?  Well, that just wasn't cutting it for Tillman, so we made a few minor adjustments that led us to this...

Finger painting...

Body painting...

Oh what fun!! I can put paint on anything & everything - literally!!

Look at that sweet face.

I've been learning so many valuable lessons lately.
Don't give Tillman flour to play with.
Use a bigger piece of paper when finger painting.

Tillman also has a new toy. (We had a giftcard that was burning a hole in my wallet.)

a MagnaDoodle!  (Clemson colors, of course)

And, here are the pictures from earlier that were meant for now.  This post has been presenting some challenges along the way, so I surrender and will end it here.  As always, there's more to come...

Easter Egg Hunt

We are staying busy around here and are very excited that spring break is right around the corner. We will be venturing home (to Summerville) where I imagine we will continue to stay on the go.

Today Tillman went to her first Easter egg hunt at BCBC.  It was such a nice event.  They had inflatables, jump castles, crafts, riding/bouncing toys, lunch, and an egg hunt prepared for all preschool-aged children. The weather was beautiful, Josh and I talked with and met a lot of new faces, and Tillman was a doll as usual. She was SO cute with the egg hunt and instinctively knew just what to do.

These pictures are of some exploration time in the Learning Tower. Things were going great until I decided to add flour (yes, flour) to the counter.  I will think twice before I do that again.

Trust me, the mess was much bigger than this!
