Beach Week 2012!!

It's finally here: Beach Week 2012. & we are loving it!!

Saturday:
Saturday morning Josh, T, and I pulled out of the driveway at 6:10am. We had a long day ahead of us and a 9 hour car ride with a toddler that we were not looking forward to, so we decided to leave early and get a head start on the trip. We stopped 1/2 way, about 4 hours in, to see my Grandpa and Uncle in Durham, NC. This also gave Tillman ad us a chance to get out, stretch our legs, and break the trip up a bit. We visited with Grandpa and Dan and went to Chic-Fil-A for lunch, per Grandpa's request. He's got good taste. We stayed for about 4 hours, putting us back on the road around 2:00. Then we pushed on through until we arrived at our destination, a beach front house in the Outerbanks on Rodanthe. We got in about 6:00. Mom & Dad were already there, and Tony, Danica, and Chiefa arrived shortly after. We enjoyed dinner together and then headed out for a nice walk on the beach. We wanted to see how Tillman would do. She did great & wanted more, more, more.

All of us heading to the car for some Chic-Fil-A.

Giving goodbye hugs and kisses until we see them again next Saturday on our way back home.

I kid you not, less than 2 minutes after she got buckled in...She was beyond exhausted at this point, which actually worked out perfectly for Josh and I b/c we got to ride down the road for about 2 and 1/2 hours without having to worry about entertaining at 19 month old.

Tillman & Chiefa.  She is seriously obssssed with this dog! "Cheifa" is the first word out of her mouth every morning.

In the kitchen

Tillman showing and telling Grandma that a duck says, "Quack. Quack."

1st taste of the beach since last year.

This is our house and access ramp to the beach for the week. We couldn't have gotten a better location.

3 generations - love them!

Beautiful

Grandma & Grandpa - I LOVE this picture!!

We're super excited about the beach. This was a test run to see how things would go. T kept running to the water saying, "More. more. more." It was so cute.

Check back in soon for more. I will try to get to one post a day, but I am on vacation, so we'll see. :)
I only posted this one tonight b/c Josh requested it. There are a ton of more great pictures to come.
