Spring Break 2012 - Part 4

Tuesday:
Lunch date w/ KC & Joe Joe, hanging out w/ Moe, playing at Doty Park, Zumba, baking cookies (again), and a dinner date w/ Ana & Jade

Lunch @ Perfectly Frank's - Yum!
By the way, my comment was, "Act natural."  Good look there, Joe. Must have been mid-chew. :)

This is Josh's delicious Bruno. A hotdog w/ pimento cheese. I sooo wish I would have ordered this instead of a corndog.

Walking around Doty Park.

Climbing the equipment.

She loves a slide.

Making a new friend.

Family slide.

Lovesies.

Josh's birthday cookies, his new favorite, white chocolate chip w/ pecans.

Zumba! class w/ Mom - Surprisingly, this was one of my highlight moments of the week. I had never been to a Zumba class before and I had no idea what it was. However, with the help of Dee (the instructor) and losing a "booty shaking" contenst to my own mother, this activity really stuck out for me. I loved it and want to go back for more in the future. By then I will be comfortable enough to let loose and "shake it."

On to our dinner date w/ Ana & Jade.

Monday:
Shopping! One of our favorite pasttimes. A day full of shopping. We also put together Tillman's Valentine's Day present from Grandma & Grandpa. Needless to say, this kept her highly entertained.

Tanger Outlets - just getting started

We love to shop!!

Silly face

And....there's more to come. I promise I'm frugal. & I had giftcards to spend from Christmas.

This was her reaction to Mickey Mouse coming on.  post-nap

Saying "cheese" while simultaneously watching tv. Multi-tasker.

And this is the infamous tent/tunnel combo that kept T occupied in so many ways.

"Helping" Grandma figure out all the pieces.

And we're off. She was running laps to keep going through it.

Grandma playing peek-a-boo at the end of the tunnel.

Taking some cups to the tent... Oh, and spoiler alert: We hid her Easter basket in there too.

Spring Break 2012 - Part 2

This was supposed to go at the end of the last post. Josh and me before heading over to Jake's.

Sunday:
My birthday! (#28)
We went to church, did a little bit of shopping (dresses!), then met Mom, Dad, Ana, and Jade for lunch at Moe's.  After lunch, Tillman grabbed a nap while Josh and I went to (finally) see The Hunger Games!! I was soo excited it was starting to embarass Josh. I had been anxiously awaiting this opportunity. Then we had some family time, washed some cars, watered some flowers, went on a walk, etc... the perfect birthday concoction.

A little post-church shopping - Tillman's dress is from Saturday's festival.

Yes, that is me under the movie heading for The Hunger Games while holding the ticket stub in my hand!!

Mom and Tillman making my birthday cream puffs.

Dad explaining to Tillman how to most efficiently wash a car.

A little rinsing demonstration

And now she's got the hang of it... Grandpa washes the top, and Tillman washes the bottom. = EFFICIENT! :)

She loved this!

Now off to watering some flowers.

She's such a good helper.

We had so much fun washing cars and watering flowers that we had to have yet another wardrobe change.  So glad I over packed her.

Family walk - our good side :)

and, bringing up the rear...

My birthday cream puffs - yum! Pretty sure I ate the majority of these by myself.

A quick story before bath time.

This was a great day filled with many wonderful memories!

Spring Break 2012 - Part 1

Well, I can honestly say this was one of the best "spring breaks" Josh & I have had in a while.  We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, did things we wanted to do for ourselves and with each other, and had a really nice time escaping reality and responsibility for a while. I can also tell you that we are both in complete denial about going back to work tomorrow. I mean it's already past my bedtime, and here I am just now starting a post.

Well, I will try to make this quick. And,  yes, our entire week away for Spring Break will be broken up into several posts. My goal tonight is to at least recap 1 or 2 days.

Friday:
We worked, booked it home, and traveled South to the Lowcountry for the week. (Summerville)

Saturday:
Mom, Josh, Tillman, and I went to the Flowertown Festival

Tillman got one of these puzzles with her name. I thought that was a pretty clever way to learn to spell your own name. Make it into a puzzle. Genius.

Walking through the crowd

We got side-tracked at The Carosel Boutique for a while. Josh was in charge of keeping Tillman occupied.

After the festival, we grabbed lunch and Tillman got a nap. Then we went over to visit Nanny.

Love my girl

They were trying to "pop bubbles" on a toy that Nanny found hidden in a drawer.

Oh, what a mess. The things she lets these kids get away with...

After Nanny's, we went back home to regroup for the rest of the evening.  Tillman went with Mom and Dad to a party with their friends while Josh and I went to a party with some of our friends. It was Jake's birthday!
