McKinley came over to play. She loves the pigtails too!
This weekend Josh, Tillman, and I headed to Summerville for a friend's wedding. As usual, it was a nonstop weekend, so I will quickly recap the big stuff.
Friday - We got into town just in time for dinner. Long story, but I provided the pot roast and mom did all the rest. We hung out for the remainder of the night and T was running wild, literally bouncing off the furniture.
Saturday - Mom, T, and I ran some quick errrands Saturday morning. Then Josh, T, and I met up with Ana, Jade, and soon-to-grace-us-with-her-presence Baby Ansley. We met for lunch at Perfectly Franks, the best hotdog joint in town. I got the Frank Bruno, my new favorite. It is a hotdog with homemade pimento cheese spread on top, and it is to-die-for delicious. After lunch T went down for a nap and Josh and I went through some mason jars Mom and Dad brought back from Grandpa's. We've already got some arranged throughout the house, and we're looking for more ideas for the others on Pinterest. After T's nap we played outside in the backyard and back deck. Josh and Dad introduced Tillman to a lizard and tree frog for the first time. She was not very fond of the tree frog, but was bold enough to pet the lizard. We grilled out hamburgers for dinner and went on a family walk afterwards.
Too cool
I mean, the shoes just make this outfit!

Walking around the Farmer's Market while Ana & Jade were on their way to meet us for lunch.
Yum!!
This was 2 miles down the road from leaving the restaurant. Wiped out.
He was her safe haven from the lizard and tree frog Josh kept showing her. It was too cute. She wanted to see the animals, but didn't want Josh to get too close to her with them. She needed some convincing.
Sunday - Happy Mother's Day! We went to church, visited Great-Grandma Gray, grilled out Italian chicken for lunch, and T took a nap while Josh and I ran out for some quick errands. When we got back, we woke her up and got her all packed up for her 1st spend-the-night away from me ever. ever. ever. (Josh has spent a few nights away here and there throughout the past 18 months. I, on the other hand, have not.) T spent the night at KC & Joe Joe's house so Mom, Dad, Josh, and I could go to the wedding downtown Charleston. It was really beautiful, the venue was right on the water, the rain held off, and Christy was just stunning. I loved everything about the event, especially Mom ending up on the floor of the dance floor. (With what is now a purple toe.) It was such a fun night.

Opening the card - Tillman's hands form a heart.
Exploring Great-Grandma Gray's room.
Visiting.
A lesson on teeth.
3 generations - Happy Mother's Day!!

Monday - Josh and I got up as we usually would, as though we had T with us. We headed over to KC and Joe Joe's house to get T and enjoy a nice breakfast together. Tillman had a great night Sunday, played with lots of new toys, and got a good "report." On our way out of town, we got to spend some time with Nanny (Tillman's other Great-Grandma) and enjoy a yummy lunch with her. We stayed and played a little bit too, but T was getting pretty tired and cranky. She ended up sleeping 2 of the 3 hours back in the car. Yay for me and Josh!
Enjoying the rain on the back porch. So calming and relaxing.
Shoes on. Shoes off. Shoes on. Shoes off. Nanny would do anything this little one asks for.
Tired.
The night ended with T playing with some new bath toys Tony & Danica sent home with us. We only let her open 1 of the 3, so I'm sure there will be more bath pictures coming later throughout the week. Needless to say, she had a blast with the first set.
Excited for a new adventure!
Bathtub crayons - She's soo going to be a righty.
(Josh and I are both lefties.)
Picture got turned, but he was modeling what to do.
She's excited b/c Josh just showed her that not only can she write on the tub, but she can also write on herself!
Playing together. What they do best.
Choosing a new color.
She decided she liked drawing under the water best.
And it worked.
I'm pretty excited to see her with the other 2 sets of toys soon b/c of the 3, this was the most conservative toy. The other 2 look to be a little more messy. Bring on the fun.
