Pinterest Party & Playtime

Saturday morning Barney on the Ipad - not sure how Josh feels about me sharing this picture, but it's just too sweet to keep to myself.

Saturday evening our Sunday school class had a girls' night - Pinterest Party style. It was really fun and just great to get to know these girls better. We all had a great time and I'm hoping we do something like this again soon. Below are each of the crafts that we made from each lady that attended.

Amanda's personalized hand sanitizer bottles. She has a cricut, and really makes me want to get one! It's awesome and can be used on paper and vinyl, which I'm really into right now. I think this turned out really cute.

Christy gave each of us a mint herb from her yard with an extensive list of ways to use mint. Some ideas included cooking, insect repellant, etc.

Kasi had each of us make this item below, which like the mint, has several uses: a sponge, a loofa, a bath toy, washing dishes, washing cars, etc. Tillman used this in the bath tonight and loved just playing with it. She also loved getting it completely soaked and throwing it to me, getting me more than wet.

Jessica and Jodi shared this craft with us that is similar to one I took as well. I love how easy and cute it is! You spray paint the cookie sheet, then use magnets (which they made too!) and make an "I am thankful for..." board. This will be great for Tillman as she ages, and for Josh and I now.

Tawnya did a demo project and showed us how to make our own canvas prints. It's sooo easy and I'm actually inspired to try and make one of my own soon. It helps that she's a professional photographer, too.

This is one of the crafts I brought to show - a prayer board made from corkboard, spray paint, and ribbon.

This is my other craft I brought that we actually sat down and made. It was turning out to be a bust at first, but then we started to get the hang of it and the girls seemed pretty excited about their creations. Instead of the candle holders, each girl got one large and one small mason jar that I inherited from my Grandpa in Virginia. There are a ton of mason jar crafts to do on Pinterest, if you're looking. And I still feel bad about the burlap mess it made on Jodi's floor, but it's an easy sweep.

All the while, Josh was at home babysitting not only our dear, sweet Tillman, but Kasi's 17 month old little girl, Hadley. Before Kasi and I could even get to Jodi's house, I already received a text that read something like this, "So the injury tally is already at 1. I just got clocked in the head with a drum stick. I think it might leave a mark." Luckily, Tillman was the culprit, so it was a good laugh to start the night off. I didn't hear from Josh the rest of the night, but on the way home, I texted him to see how the night went. He said, "Fine. Tillman is asleep. Hadley will have nothing to do with the pack-n-play. She and I are just hanging out in the playroom." This made Kasi and me bust out laughing, because we could just imagine the scene: Josh and Hadley, just hanging out in the playroom. What a sight.

The next set of pictures is of our Sunday afternoon playtime, after T's nap.

Yes, Josh has trained her to pull the trigger as he cocks the gun. Partners in crime. And, yes, they were really aiming and shooting at me. Those suckers sting, too.

She's having too much fun doing this.

This is what I get....36 or so stinging Nerf bullets.

This is the slide Josh bought Tillman just 2 days ago. We gave it a good cleaning and a fresh new coat of paint.

I mean, look at that face.

And that mop on top of her head. This is what we deal with when there is no bow in her hair. Chaos.

Climbing.

Still climbing, just the wrong way.

I LOVE her expression here!!
I was trying to get her to go down the slide every time with her hands in the air like a rollercoaster.

Fearless.

Finding more uses for the slide.

Fearless #2 - doing a somersault directly off the end of the slide. I mean, really, who does that??

Now on to a calmer, more mild form of entertainment: bubbles.
