LHS Blackout game & Clemson Homecoming

Friday night we went to the LHS game. It was a "blackout" because the team they were playing, Palmetto, has red as a primary color as well. It was a great, close game. Liberty came out with the win and is continuing an exceptionally great season, being undefeated thus far at 7-0.

Saturday we all went out for Clemson's homecoming weekend. We met up with Christy and Tyler and walked around the floats, took pictures, went to Moe's for lunch, etc. Josh and Tyler went to the game and Tillman and I came back home to watch it on tv.

C-L-E-M-S-OOO-N!!

Well, after much harrassment, nagging, excitement, and anxiousness all week, the big game finally happened. More importantly, the Tigers beat the Hokies! For those that don't know, my dad is a die hard Virginia Tech Hokie fan and alum. My brother, Josh, and I are all pretty hard core Clemson fans and alum, and on any other day of the week, we are Hokie fans too. However, on this day (that we have been anxiously awaiting and planning for 4 years now) Dad was on his own. (except he had Mom on his side) So my mom, dad, brother, Danica, Uncle Dan, Josh, Tillman, and I all met up together in Virginia this weekend for the highly anticipated game. We had a blast, although the weather was a bit challenging at times. We walked around VA Tech's campus, visited the bookstore, went to dinner with my cousin Rachel and her roommate, went to Roanoke, ate at The New Yorker, tailgated, went to the game, and got together for a nice breakfast Sunday morning. Here are a few pictures to sum up the weekend. And what a wonderful weekend it was!! GO TIGERS!! :) :) :)

Chiefa is going after Tillman's tiger ears - & notice her tail too

The Kids - Besties :)

Some very interesting Hokie fans at the tailgate

Homemade outfits, on stilts and all

I'm his biggest fan, even if he was cheering on the Hokies

Welcome to Lane Stadium

We loved these tuba players! They were full of energy and having a good time. Here, they are circling around the traffic guard playing the tuba and making up a chant about him. It was cute and entertaining.

The PERFECT souvenier from Tony & Danica's trip to Vancouver, Canada - tiger mittens!!! I HAD to wear them to the game!!

Enter Sandman - Here come the Hokies

Clemson & VA Tech's marching bands playing together - I've never seen this before and thought it was a nice gesture.

Fireworks at halftime - Tech hadn't been using them throughout the quarter and didn't want them to go to waste :)

Making my tiger mittens growl at the Hokies

Dad participating in the Hokie tradition for a "key play"

This made for one happy Tiger fan! :)

I love this one, and the man behind the camera (Josh)

One of my favorites - Priceless

Ready for gametime

Tillman crawled up on the luggage cart this morning. I guess she was telling us she was packed and ready to go.

Silly girl - And she's still wearing her Clemson gear!
